Helpful Info To Plan Your Day
BY CAR: Put Pelham Street into your sat-nav for the best directions to our factory which is on the corner of Pelham St and Lichfield St. We have two free car parks.
Alternative public car parks are available at Hinde Street (follow City Centre parking signs), a 5 min walk from the factory. Please bring evidence of your car park ticket (a photo or receipt) and we will offer you a free hot or cold drink with our compliments.
BY TRAIN: We are just a few minutes by taxi from Stoke-on-Trent station, about 1 hour from Manchester and 1 1/2 hrs from London by train.
BY CANAL: We’re on the banks of the Cauldon Canal with several temporary moorings between Lichfield Street and Ivy House Lift Bridge nearby. Use the footbridge to cross to the factory car park.
Free customer car parking, including disabled and parent & child spaces, is available on our car park behind the factory on Pelham Street.
Visitors to the Emma Bridgewater Factory are encouraged to enjoy their visit as much as possible with access a priority. With this in mind the site has the following facilities available:
Drop-off Point: There is a small drop off area on Lichfield Street in front of the retail area by the pedestrian ‘Open’ gate.
Toilets: Toilets including a disabled accessible toilet and baby change facilities are available in the decorating studio, across the studio from the café. There are more toilets (including baby change facilities) located in the Gift Shop
Assistance Dogs: We welcome assistance dogs in all retail areas and a bowl of water can be found outside the main café entrance. Assistance dogs are also welcome on our factory tour – please contact bookings@emmabridgewater.co.uk if you have any questions about bringing an Assistance Dog to Emma Bridgewater.
Factory Tour Access: Access on our factory tours isn’t a problem but with it being a busy working environment we advise visitors to inform us of any access requirements by emailing bookings@emmabridgewater.co.uk Please book a wheelchair slot by ticking the box on the booking page. Tours must be booked in advance. Tours take around 60 minutes, although there are no stairs it does involve two ramps and the area around the kilns can sometimes be hot. Tours are suitable for children over 5yrs and unfortunately, we cannot accommodate pushchairs on the Factory.
Courtyard (Retail) Access: You can access all of our site (Café, Shops and Decorating Studio) via the Main Entrance from the Car Park where there is also Disabled Parking. There is a Drop Off Point on Pelham Street outside the Main Entrance. There is a lift to our Gift Shop where you can also access the Decorating Studio. All areas are wheelchair accessible. The Decorating Studio is the assembly point for Factory Tours. Access to the garden is through the Gift Shop is via a ramp.
Hearing and Visually Impaired Visitors: No additional facilities are currently available.
Food and Drink: Hot and cold food and drinks are served in the Café. Drinks only are available in the Decorating Studio area.
